2006 Trust Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon:
The warm growing days of the Horse Heaven Hills (Phinney Hills and Champoux Vineyards) and the Columbia Basin (Bacchus) provide the bulk of Cabernet for this bottle. A little Walla Walla off the "rocks" (Kelley) provides some mid-palate lushness and the whole blend is softened with 20% Merlot from the very cool Conner Lee Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope. Lush dark berries, plum, and minerality race through this well integrated wine.

Parker gives 2006 Tetra 92 points!!
The 2006 is a blend
of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit
Verdot. It is a strong wine in 2006, with licorice and earthy black cherry and
black currant flavors intermixed with some smoke, burning embers, and floral undertones.
Deep, medium to full-bodied, rich, and surprisingly round, with silky tannins,
this wine should drink well for the next 15 years.
This wine, meant to be the selection of the very best terroirs and grapes from
entrepreneur Bill Hill’s holdings in Napa Valley, is a blend of Cabernet
Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.
