2006 Trust Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon:
The warm growing days of the Horse Heaven Hills (Phinney Hills and Champoux Vineyards) and the Columbia Basin (Bacchus) provide the bulk of Cabernet for this bottle. A little Walla Walla off the "rocks" (Kelley) provides some mid-palate lushness and the whole blend is softened with 20% Merlot from the very cool Conner Lee Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope. Lush dark berries, plum, and minerality race through this well integrated wine.

Founder and winemaker Jon Grant, also Assistant Winemaker of Turley Wines, believes that each vineyard site creates different wines, each expressing its own nuances and characteristics. Jon began his carreer at Snowbird Utah, managing six wine programs prior to move to Napa to work for Robert Mondavi, PlumpJack, Corison and of course Turley.
Jon's winemaking philosophy is to keep it pure, working on this project has allowed him to explore this notion in-depth in production of single vineyard Pinot Noirs. You will find these wines full of minerality, beautiful bright fruit and elegant acidity.
