2006 Trust Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon:
The warm growing days of the Horse Heaven Hills (Phinney Hills and Champoux Vineyards) and the Columbia Basin (Bacchus) provide the bulk of Cabernet for this bottle. A little Walla Walla off the "rocks" (Kelley) provides some mid-palate lushness and the whole blend is softened with 20% Merlot from the very cool Conner Lee Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope. Lush dark berries, plum, and minerality race through this well integrated wine.

Founder and winemaker Jon Grant, is also the Assistant Winemaker of Turley Wines, feverently believes that different vineyard sites creates different wines, each expressing its own nuances and characters. Jon is a purist winemaker and believes in minimal intervention to bring us beautifully balanced, elegant and pure wines that impart true varietal character. All vineyards he works with are organically farmed.
Jon is an extreme skier and fell in love with wine while working at Snowbird, Utah and developed six wine programs before going to Napa to work for Robert Mondavi, PlumpJack and Corison. We are excited to bring Jon's wines to Chicago and can't wait to share his gift of winemaking.
