2006 Trust Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon:

The warm growing days of the Horse Heaven Hills (Phinney Hills and Champoux Vineyards) and the Columbia Basin (Bacchus) provide the bulk of Cabernet for this bottle. A little Walla Walla off the "rocks" (Kelley) provides some mid-palate lushness and the whole blend is softened with 20% Merlot from the very cool Conner Lee Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope.  Lush dark berries, plum, and minerality race through this well integrated wine.

Yates Family Vineyard

The 35 acres of steep, hillside vineyards soar to over 1,200 feet elevation. Each block or
section, with its own particular sun exposure, microclimate and volcanic soils, imparts
unique characteristics to the grapes. A temperate growing season ensures thorough ripening
and uncommonly rich, concentrated fruit flavors. Hand-farmed terraces, small yields, and a
near-perfect combination of climate, rock, and soils contribute to the exceptional quality of
the grapes.

Yates Family Vineyard wines show the classic Mt. Veeder character, great aromatics of
briary blackberry with essence of the forest flora and a deep stony minerality. Ultimately the
telling is in the tasting. We hope you will avail yourself of the opportunity to discover our
very special wines.
