2006 Trust Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon:
The warm growing days of the Horse Heaven Hills (Phinney Hills and Champoux Vineyards) and the Columbia Basin (Bacchus) provide the bulk of Cabernet for this bottle. A little Walla Walla off the "rocks" (Kelley) provides some mid-palate lushness and the whole blend is softened with 20% Merlot from the very cool Conner Lee Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope. Lush dark berries, plum, and minerality race through this well integrated wine.

As fifth generation Washingtonians, the Schafers embody what their
ancestors achieved in the timber industry — the need for
sustainability. As stewards of the land, the Schafers in the early
1940's designed and planted 20,000 acres of evergreens dedicated to
reforestation. It was the first registered, evergreen tree farm in the
United States that still exists today.
The exquisite wine at àMaurice starts with respecting the land —
healthy vines mean healthy wines. àMaurice is committed to sustainable
viticulture in the pursuit to produce the highest quality grapes, and
to craft superior red and white wines. Our mission is simple — just the
best.
