2006 Trust Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon:
The warm growing days of the Horse Heaven Hills (Phinney Hills and Champoux Vineyards) and the Columbia Basin (Bacchus) provide the bulk of Cabernet for this bottle. A little Walla Walla off the "rocks" (Kelley) provides some mid-palate lushness and the whole blend is softened with 20% Merlot from the very cool Conner Lee Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope. Lush dark berries, plum, and minerality race through this well integrated wine.

Cascading some 1,200 vertical feet down the Sonoma slope of the Mayacamas Mountains, this fascinating hillside location shows extreme diversity over 80 planted acres. Winemaker Erich Bradley "continues to turn out sensational wines" - Robert Parker. This is an incredible vineyard, the home of extreme viticulture with vines cascading down the Mayacamas Mountains. It is a "one of a kind" site to grow world-class Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Erich's winemaking style, somewhat unorthodox, is to produce Bordeaux and Rhone wines in the Burgundian tradition to create wines with grace and expression of terroir.
