2006 Trust Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon:
The warm growing days of the Horse Heaven Hills (Phinney Hills and Champoux Vineyards) and the Columbia Basin (Bacchus) provide the bulk of Cabernet for this bottle. A little Walla Walla off the "rocks" (Kelley) provides some mid-palate lushness and the whole blend is softened with 20% Merlot from the very cool Conner Lee Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope. Lush dark berries, plum, and minerality race through this well integrated wine.

Vineyards at different latitudes represent different "Expressions" of great Pinot Noir and their winemaker, Richard Sowalsky, is dedicated to crafting only the best from each region. The winegrowing regions include the Santa Rita Hills (34), the Sonoma Coast (38), the Anderson Valley (39), and the Eola-Amity Hills (44) of Willamette Valley, Oregon.
Their goal is showcase both the 'Grand-Cru' vineyards and the terroir of sub-appellation. Each vintage will bring the finest blends from each latitude as well as small single vineyard designate lots that represent that best of what their vineyards can deliver.
